Welcome to the site of Winslow Baptist Church
The Baptist Tabernacle exists for the preaching of the Gospel, Christ centred, Holy Spirit led, Bible based ministry, teaching, worship and the encouragement of personal spiritual growth to the Glory of God.
As a group of Bible believing Christians we come together to fellowship and worship Jesus as Saviour. We meet in the historic building shown above built in 1864 on the site where Spurgeon preached in the open air. We have a variety of visiting Preachers to minister the Word of the Lord to the congregation in our services. We also encourage the men of our fellowship who are mature in the Lord to take on this work as they are called.
We invite you to join us on Sundays to worship the Living God. We offer a warm welcome in the Lord to all and the opportunity to fellowship over refreshments after the service.
Our worship songs are taken from numerous sources. The Baptist hymn book, Redemption Hymnal, Mission praise, Songs and Hymns of Fellowship and Sankey's Sacred Songs to name a few. We use a microphone and amplifier for our preachers as this has a loop system for hearing aids.
