Ministry

Missionary Work  

The Winslow Baptist Church gifts money to a number of Ministries  supporting the work of those that seek to bring the Word of God to the lost.  

The practice of the fellowship is to give at least a tenth of our offerings in support of those engaged in the work of making the Gospel known. We list a number of the ministries we support:

Gideons

CWI Christian Witness to Israel 

Intercessors for Britain. 

MAF Mission Aviation Fellowship

Radstock Ministries who seek to support the Church in the former Soviet Union. Through them we have been able to contribute to fellowships in Latvia and Riga. It has been our privilege to help brothers and sisters in the Lord at Vangagi with funds to enable them to progress with their Church building and other needs. We have been mutually encouraged by welcoming members of their church family to this country when they have visited to share with us.       

We have also been able to give gifts to individuals in missionary work as God has given opportunity.

Prayer releases the power of God. 

(James 5:16) The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. 

(Philippians 4:6) Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
